Introduction

The main goal of this blog post is to provide a thorough overview of Manchester United’s 2023-2024 English Premier League season under the management of Erik ten Hag, in his second season. Throughout this post, we will analyze key moments and outcomes during Ten Hag’s second season as manager.

A massive list of injuries has significantly impacted Manchester United. Manchester United’s winning percentage this season is only 47%, which is considered poor by the club’s standards, compared to 61% last season.

Manchester United scored a total of 57 goals in this season’s EPL. In comparison, the champions, Manchester City, scored 96 goals.

The average possession for Manchester United stands at 51%, which shows that the team is not currently dominating possession to the same degree as some of its competitors, especially Manchester City.

Manchester United’s top scorers in the EPL this season are Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes, each with 10 goals. The main difference is that Hojlund’s expected goals (xG) is close to 7.5, while Fernandes’s xG is 10.

Apart from Andre Onana, the surprisingly consistent player who has been available 93% of the time is Diogo Dalot. What a player he has been too for Manchester United.
