R-Ladies Cologne is a new R-Ladies chapter which was founded in September 2021. It joins R-Ladies’ mission to promote and support gender equality in the field. Together with Luciana and Gabe, we have hosted three events so far. Kicking it off, we had an exciting roundtable with Alison Hill, Ana Carolina Leote, Angélica Becerra and Nina Hauser talking about empowering women in data (science). Contributing with their diverse backgrounds, we discussed perspectives of working in different fields, challenges and wins in the professional life, the importance of mentoring, how to find a good mentor, and much more.
