I am pleased to share I will be speaking at satRday Columbus 2020. This will be a free online event, Saturday November 14, 2020 where people from across the Buckeye State will be sharing how they use the R programming language.
View the schedule and register here.
I will be presenting a ~20 minute overview on how to use R to automate reporting and analysis in Excel. Talk description below:
Excel spreadsheets are the tool of choice for data analysis and reporting among many business professionals, but Excel has its limitations for building repeatable, dynamic data processes.
In this session, users will learn how to begin automating Excel workbooks using the
openxlsx
package. This approach combines R’s knack for reproducible data analysis with the accessibility and end-user interaction features that make Excel so prevalent.
You can view the preliminary work at the GitHub repo (Be warned: This is very much a work-in-progress!)
If you are new to R, check out my “R launch checklist” for getting started. You can also subscribe to my newsletter for free access to my data education resource library.
I hope to see you digitally on November 14th.
