What does an SQL lesson look like?

Start each lesson by reading the instructions and explanations in the Instruction box (1). You’ll also find brief examples here. When you’re ready, you can move on to the Exercise section (2). Type your answer in the Code Editor (3), or get help by reading a Hint (4). You can also Discuss the exercise with our community (5) or browse the Database (6) for that particular exercise.

Once you’ve entered your answer in the Code Editor, click Run and Check Code, and you’ll get instant feedback. Did something go wrong? Read the description of the error (shown in the Console tab) and try again. (See the green screen shown below.)

Everything looking good? The Console will display the query result, and you can move to the Next Exercise. Please note you don’t have to do so right away – you can always  play around with the databases before moving on to the next exercise.
