At this meetup, five more LA R meetup members will present short talks of what they have learned at useR! 2014. This is the 2nd round of talks about useR! since we had twice as many volunteers to speak as we could accommodate in one meetup (indeed, useR! was that awesome). The first round of talks at our September meetup is summarized here (with slides).
Talks:
1. Szilard Pafka, Epoch and DataScience.LA
Benchmarking dplyr and data.table (with biggish data) – this is my own work but inspired by useR!
2. Ajay Gopal, CARD.com
enteRprise – perspectives from useR2014! on R in production
3. Eric Kim, The Search Agency
How The Search Agency is using Shiny to build custom interactive reports to optimize SEM revenues for advertisers
4. Daniel Gutierrez, insideBIGDATA
A personal “Best of” list for those useR! 2014 presentations I attended
5. Eduardo Ariño de la Rubia, Ingram Content Group
Packrat: Making your life more predictable with dependency management
