The new Quantide website is online.
This is the fourth version of company website. In this post, I revisit the history of the site.
First version
Quantide first website was published in 2007, when the company was born. It had a fixed Flash-like style, but it was realized with HTML and CSS, and written in PHP. The site focused on the two main branch of the new company: statistics and IT.
Second version
I arrived in Quantide in April 2009, and a month later the new version of the website was online. Text was almost the same of the previous version, but with a completely new graphic layout. The site focused on the service type (consulting, training, development or product) rather than on the branch (statistics or IT).
Third version
In July 2010 arrived the version that was online until yesterday. In this version, the IT branch of the company disappeared. In fact, IT skills are related to data analysis. The home page focused on R, the open source statistical environment. The “tondone”, as the big circle are called by Quantide consultants, shows the main area of interest: Training and Consulting, and the main applications (Base, Graph, Big Data etc.). After some restyling, especially in the home page, this become the website you know.
Fourth version
And today, the fourth version is online! In this version, the focus is on R statistical environment. The menu show the main area of interests: training, consulting and R in the cloud (that we call “R Everywhere”).
