I am really happy to share some great news with all R users about some upcoming conferences in the near future. The calls for papers are still active for all three below events that I plan to visit, I hope I could meet more and more useRs there!Want to share your content on R-bloggers? click here if you have a blog, or here if you don't.
The closest event in time will be at Bucharest, Romania on the 27th of March. The main focus of the New Challenges for Statistical Software – The Use of R in Official Statistics is “to present, exchange ideas and discuss developments in state-of-the-art statistical software commonly used in applied economics and statistics” with an emphasis on R. Participation is free, registration and abstract submission will be open until the 14th of March.
Another neighboring event: the International Big Data and Data Warehousing Conference will take place in Budapest, Hungary between the 4th and 6th of June. I would be more than happy if many talks would concentrate on R, so I urge every useRs to submit an abstract until the 15th of March in e.g. data modeling, real-time information processing or data science among other interesting topics, and get a free ticket beside some optional travel subsidy.
And abstract submission is also open for the annual R conference, so be sure to submit your proposal before the end of March. Let’s meet in Los Angeles at useR! 2014 this summer!
