R is like Ruby

There are many similarities between R and Ruby.


– Learning both has been fun – “dude, i’m playing with R and love it.” The excitement doesn’t end!

I’m totally addicted. 

– I keep discovering new and nifty things. Every time I hit an interesting problem, there’s an elegant way to deal with it. Very Ruby like – “If it is taking more then 5 lines of code, you are probably doing it wrong.”

– Both, R and Ruby have Plugin architecture that gives you a lot of power and flexibility. For example, just discovered that R has a RDBMS package to offload database-specific/suited tasks to a database, while using R for what its good at…

– Both have an active, passionate community behind it.

And many more similarities…
