Sitting in a dreary hotel room in San Jose with Interstate 101 on my left and a burger joint/truck stop on my right (see previous post Report from the meeting of the Ecological Society of America in San Jose for why I have been deported here by my PI). I am writing on the documentation files for GillespieSSA. I will post the first version of the package on the web page as soon as I finish the Rd files and it passes the pre-flight checks. The first release of the package will most likely be a beta version. I feel that I need to set up and run more different scenario to make sure that the code is well-behaved under wide number of conditions.
Anyone interested in getting their feet wet with the pre-release beta version, just let me know. You will be acknowledged! As an additional “bonus” I will be more open to suggestions for the addition of new features and improvements that are not necessarily bug related. In the current version of the package I have selected the features based on what I need and find useful (which hopefully will also be useful for others). It would be good to get feedback on what other people think.
